Italian paint maker Maimeri decided to create Classico Superfine Oil Colours to provide artists with the highest quality, most pigmented oils, even using real cadmiums. Whites are blended with non-yellowing oils (safflower oil) to retain their brightness and purity.

The range of 77 colours is a perfect mix of modern pigments and those from Italian painting tradition (natural earth colours), safe and stable. Fine linseed oil is used with no waxes or fillers added, and the finely ground, heavily loaded colours have a wonderful, buttery thick body for the ultimate painting experience. Classico Superfine Oil Colours offer bright and clear colours ideal for any application including thick layers or glazing. They dry to a rich satin glow and the formulas were perfected to balance the drying times of all colours.
