I got some quills, and round brushes. It is a very thirsty brush, with which one can make juicy strokes. I use mine for washes, and it works wonderfully. It is a synthetic brush but almost as soft as real squirrel, which is the softest hair available. This is an excellent alternative for those who are against animal cruelty, and want an environment friendly brush. Since it is imported from the USA and our Rand is very weak against the Dollar it is pricey. Escoda sells real squirrel hair and the prices are not much higher. Escoda might be a better choice for those who rather want real bristles. Therefore, I give this range only four stars.

I adore these brushes. Have been using my trusty size 8 for illustration work for a while, and recently got a size 12 and a dagger too. They are absolutely fantastic for glazing – they glide so smoothly across the paper without disturbing underlying paint, even pigments that lift easily. The water retention is excellent for a synthetic brush and I was blown away by the tip on the dagger. Lots of interesting mark-making! My older brush has held up well considering how much I use it. They are a pleasure to use.
