Rembrandt Oil Colours are crafted in Holland by Royal Talens from only the best raw materials. Rembrandt professional artists’ oil colours are a completely lightfast range of pigments (most colours are rated for 100 years + in museum conditions), with several unique features which make them precious to professional artists. Rembrandt Oils are highly durable and are produced with the highest colour strength possible, using valuable, costly, pure pigments.
The pigments are ground to extreme fineness in a binder consisting of the purest linseed or safflower seed oil, resulting in an exceptionally smooth, creamy, and even oil paint. This oil paint responds to the brush with a buttery feel, and has a noticeable brilliance and colour intensity rarely seen anywhere in the world.

I mainly use Royal Talens’ Van Gogh oil series, as it is better than any student paint I used before, and it also contains real Cadmiums. I however use professional Titanium White, as it has no binders and chalk like the student ranges. As so many tints are made with white, and only a little bit of colour is used, I feel it is worth it to use Rembrandt Titanium White. I use the tube with the safflower oil. I love the buttery feel, and my portraits are less dull and chalky now. I also purchased Rembrandt Cobalt Turquoise, Still de Grain and Sepia. The colours are vibrant and a pleasure to use.
