SKETCH THE CITY OF GOLD!

Urban Sketchers Johannesburg is a chapter of Urban Sketchers International, a non-profit dedicated to fostering a global community of artists who practice on-location drawing.

Urban Sketchers Johannesburg has received a grant from Urban Sketchers International to host an event on the 9th and 10th September 2023. The event is open to anyone interested in sketching, and in particular those who would like to try their hand at, or are already doing, sketching in an urban scenario. The idea is to spend one day sketching in “Old Johannesburg” and one day sketching in “New Johannesburg”. More information will be forthcoming.

Each day comprises a morning tutor-led workshop then a sketch crawl afternoon in the area capturing the wonderful sights of the fascinating city culminating in an end of day throw down & drinks.

Entry covers:

• 2 Tutor-led workshops.
• Afternoon sketch crawls.
• Saturday morning opening event (coffee & muffins).
• Secure parking at Fox.
• Sunday afternoon closing event (finger buffet & 2 drinks vouchers).
