Description
The Da Vinci FIT Synthetics Paddle Brush Series 5077 is designed for controlled, close-to-surface painting and priming on a wide range of materials. This 60 mm mottler brush features dark grey, short synthetic fibres that are soft, highly elastic, and responsive, making it well suited to acrylic, watercolour, and oil applications. The synthetic bristles load evenly and release paint smoothly, allowing for consistent coverage across large areas without excessive streaking.
A specially designed extra-short handle encourages wrist-based movement, giving improved control when working directly on the surface. This makes the brush particularly effective for priming, blocking in colour, and applying mediums where precision and pressure control matter. The ergonomic wooden handle is finished with a laser-cut grip zone, offering a secure and comfortable hold even during extended use. The handle is produced from sustainably sourced European wood and marked with the tree symbol to reflect responsible forestry practices.
The rust-proof steel ferrule is manufactured using Da Vinci’s DUROPLUS system, developed to withstand the high stress placed on wide paddle brushes. A moulded grip tooth penetrates deeply into the adhesive layer, firmly anchoring the synthetic fibres and ensuring long-term durability and shape retention. This construction makes the brush suitable for repeated use on canvas, paper, wood, metal, cloth, and board.
Manufactured in Germany, the Series 5077 paddle brush is fully vegan and designed for artists who require reliability, durability, and control when working on broad surfaces. The FIT Synthetics range offers soft, elastic fibres ideal for smooth applications and versatile techniques. This brush is available in multiple widths, 40mm, 60 mm, 80mm.
