FAQ’s:
Is the ink of the Goldfaber Sketch Marker lightfast?
No. The markers contain an alcohol-based ink with dyes that are not lightfast. Creative works produced with the
Goldfaber Sketch Marker must therefore be protected from sunlight to prevent the colours from fading. Works
of art can be protected from possible sunlight in a picture frame with museum glass.
Can the ink be dissolved again after drying?
No. Once the ink has dried, it can no longer be dissolved. If the ink is still wet, it can be dissolved and blended
either with the blender or with a lighter colour.
Is the colour the same at both ends of the marker?
Yes. The ink reservoir of the Goldfaber Sketch Marker supplies both marker tips with ink in the same basic
colour. However, since the brush tip emits significantly more colour, its laydown can be slightly more intense
compared to that of the fineliner tip.
Is the ink vegan?
Yes.
Is the ink gluten-free?
No.
What kind of paper is recommended?
A layout or marker paper is best suited for using the Goldfaber Sketch Marker. This paper has a special coating on
the front that prevents the ink from bleeding through. Furthermore, the colours on the paper remain moist and
workable for longer. Manufacturers such as Hahnemühle, Canson or Arteza offer special layout and marker
papers in different qualities, grammages and sizes.
Textured paper is rather unsuitable for alcohol markers, as the pen tip is subjected to greater stress and can
therefore lose its strength more quickly.
What happens if I swallow a marker cap? Can I continue to breathe?
Yes. Both caps of the Goldfaber Sketch Marker are ventilated for safety reasons. If a cap is accidentally
swallowed, sufficient air will continue to flow through these holes for breathing. Nevertheless, a doctor should
be consulted immediately in any case to remove the foreign body.
