I was very disappointed with the size of the palette. The wells are smaller than I thought. If you need to paint with a Hake brush this palette is not suitable. That said it is good quality has a large mixing area. Probably more suitable as a travel palette.

I like this palette a lot I have got the big one with 18 wells. I constantly use mine when I am on the go or at work with my gouache paints inside. This palette keeps your gouache paints nice and secure and easy to travel with as well as at home use for gouache paints. It is a good quality plastic with another tray inside to have more mixing space. This palette would also work with watercolor, but is nicer to use for gouache as for watercolor it would be better using a palette with big wells. As for gouache you can use a flat surface.
