Permanent Adhesive Spray – Montana

R225.00

Montana adhesive spray is a permanent acid-free spray adhesive  with synthetic solvent base.  A single layer of spray adhesive is sufficient for a permanent hold on most surfaces such as foam, jute, felt, fabric, insulation material, polystyrene, plastic, foil, paper, cardboard, wood or for gluing inlays. Montana adhesive spray is suitable for handicrafts and paperwork, but not for use with artificial leather or other materials with plasticizers or softeners (e.g. plasticized PVC). The spray adhesive can be applied to one or both surfaces to be glued.  Initial correction is possible within the first 2-3 minutes. The final adhesive strength is achieved after 24 hours. It is best to test before use, especially with heavy materials.

Description

What is Montana ADHESIVE spray?
Montana ADHESIVE spray is a synthetic, solvent based adhesive spray. It is an acid free, single application spray, resulting in permanent adhession. The Montana ADHESIVE spray can be applied to both surfaces being adhered. It is clean and efficient over small or large areas.

On which materials is Montana ADHESIVE spray suitable?
Montana ADHESIVE spray is suitable on foam, jute, felt, textiles, insulating material, expanded polystyrene, plastics, foils, paper, cardboard, wood and as an adhesive for inlays. Excellent for craft and paper work. It is NOT suitable for use with artificial leather or other materials with plasticising agents or softeners (e.g. plasticized PVC). Always test on a non visible area of your project. No penetration when used on textiles.

What sizes does Montana ADHESIVE spray come in?
Montana ADHESIVE spray comes in 400ml and 150ml sized cans.

How do I start using my Montana ADHESIVE spray can?
Remove the spray plastic lid. Shake the can vigerously for 2-3 minutes ensuring you can hear the mixing balls moving freely. Replace the cap back onto the top of the can valve and trigger away from substrate to test. If flowing freely you can start painting.

How long does Montana ADHESIVE spray take to dry?
Montana ADHESIVE spray reaches its final adhesion strength after 24 hours.

Can I apply Montana ADHESIVE spray in any temperature?
The Montana ADHESIVE spray can be used in a temperature range of –10°C to + 50°C subject to materials used and their weights. However we recommend for best functionality, do not store or use under 10°C outside temperature.

Do I need to consider anything before or while I’m applying it?
For best results apply on clean, dry and greaseless surfaces. Apply to one or both surfaces and allow to evaporate for 3-10 minutes, depending on outside temperature and absorptivity of surface. Then compress together strongly. Porous, uneven or absorbent surfaces are recommended to be primed with a thin layer of adhesive spray, let it dry for 5 minutes and then continue as above.

How far should the Montana ADHESIVE spray be from the substrate while applying?
Optimum distance from substrate is normally beween 20 and 30cm depending on your task. Thin, even layers are optimal.
