Rotring’s Rapidograph pens are high precision technical ink pen with Rotring’s unique capillary cartridge. The pressure-equalization system, including the ink helix, is part of the ink cartridge which ensures that every time you change the cartridge, you get a clean new ink helix. This means that you never need to clean the ink helix and with the improved temperature stability through an extra large ink-helix volume and the optimum location of the ventilation opening, top reliability is guaranteed.

Rotring nibs are very fine and produce a smoother line on smoother paper as the nibs tend to catch on very textured paper. To achieve clean lines, surfaces such as tracing paper, vellum, drawing paper and line board are recommended.
