About Angelus Suede Dyes:
Angelus Suede Dyes are superb for restoring suede shoes, boots and loafers to their original colour or recolouring them to the desired shade. Unlike dye paints, they soak into the suede fibres instead of simply sitting on the top layer, making them a more permanent solution.

How to use:

Cleaning:

1. Ensure the leather is clean before application; the Angelus Easy Cleaner Kit contains everything you’d need.
   It is necessary to remove all the oils and dirt that may be sitting in or on the suede material.
   Make sure to fully wash/clean the entire surface to avoid water spots, as suede cannot be “spot treated.”

2. If the suede feels hard in texture: Indicates that there is too much product in the material. Use a suede brush to loosen the suede.
   You can also use a soft bristle brush and water to pull out the cleaner. Let it dry, then you can continue.

Application:

1. Using Wool Daubers, soak the dye on the dauber.
   Please note: If you are dyeing a large spot use the dauber fully soaked. If you are doing a smaller section a paint brush or much less dye on the dauber may be required. 
2. Make sure to soak the article you are dyeing. Dye works by soaking into the item you are dyeing. It does not act like paint. Feel free to soak and evenly rub across to make sure all is even.

Post application:

1. Leave to dry for a few hours.
2. Use a strong bristled brush to break up the suede to bring it back to its natural soft feel. This also helps to remove excess dye preventing it from running if it gets wet.
3. Optional: We highly recommend spraying down with Angelus’ Water Repellent or Mink Oil Aerosol.

Precautions:
Test on a hidden spot to see how the colour will turn out. Please do this because when the dye soaks in, the final color depends on the suede underneath.
For example, red dye on white suede turns pink, not bright red.
