Charlie Mackesy is a British artist, illustrator and author, best known for his internationally bestselling book The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. First published in 2019, it has broken records in the Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller charts and has been translated into over 40 languages. Charlie began his career as a cartoonist for The Spectator and has since worked with Oxford University Press, Comic Relief, and worked with Nelson Mandela on The Unity Series, a special lithograph project. His artwork appears in books, galleries and public spaces worldwide, including bronze sculptures in London. He co-runs a Zambian honey social enterprise and lives between Suffolk and Brixton with his dog, Barney.
