This multi-media pad is made with highly acclaimed Hahnemühle Britannia watercolour paper. The heavyweight, natural white paper is quite firm and the stability and strength of the paper will ensure that it stays flat when wet. It is ideal for all wet painting techniques such as watercolour, especially wet-in-wet painting, smooth wash and also dry painting. This is an excellent paper for your watercolour medium, gouache, tempera and acrylics.

Understanding the 3 surfaces or textures of watercolour paper
Rough – A pronounced, varied texture, great for a textured loose feel.
Cold-pressed (NOT) – It’s the paper texture in-between rough and hot-pressed paper, having a slightly textured surface this paper is sometimes called NOT.
Hot-pressed (HP) – Watercolour paper with a very smooth surface and almost no tooth. Good for painting detailed paintings and creating very smooth washes.
The Not stands for “Not Hot pressed”.
