Ox Gall, although originally more an additive than a medium because it is added to the painting water rather than the paint itself, is a surfactant that breaks the surface tension of the water, allowing pigments to disperse more easily. Talens’ Ox Gall can be added to paint and also be used directly in order to degrease grounds other than paper with, for example, a cloth. Talens’ Ox Gall prevents beading and improves the adhesion of water-based paints on somewhat hydrophobic grounds.

Product features:
