Schmincke Aqua Linoprint Sets bring together the versatile working properties of Aqua Linoprint inks in convenient set formats. Designed for relief printing, the water-based colours use Gum Arabic as a binder and high-quality pigments to provide excellent colour intensity and lightfastness.

The inks are supplied ready to use, while colours can be mixed together or diluted with water when required. For linocut and other relief-printing techniques, the ink can be rolled thinly and evenly onto a suitable surface before being transferred to the printing block with a linoleum roller. The prepared block is then pressed evenly onto the printing surface to create the impression.

Aqua Linoprint can be used for traditional linocut printing as well as stamp making, woodcut and material printing. Suitable substrates include smooth paper, coloured cardboard, felt and fabric, providing plenty of scope for experimenting with different printing surfaces and techniques.

With prints becoming smudge-resistant in approximately 15 minutes, depending on the substrate and application, Aqua Linoprint is also suitable for creating layered and multicolour prints through overprinting. Once dry, the colours remain non-waterproof.
