About Parker: George Safford Parker founded Parker in 1888 in Wisconsin, USA; its headquarters are now in France. Some of its innovations include the “Lucky Curve” fountain pen feed and Quink, a quick-drying ink which eliminated the need for blotting, much to the delight of writers everywhere.
How different converters work:
Piston converters work via a twist mechanism in turn drawing ink as the piston is pulled up.
Plunger converters work by drawing in ink as the plunger mechanism is pushed down.
Squeeze converters draw ink in by creating suction but have the smallest capacity.
Push button converters are the simplest, pressing the button creates a vacuum that rapidly pulls in ink.
