Tough Enough.
Originally introduced as the Summer 2020 Seasonal Release, the Heavy Duty Edition proved so popular that it became a permanent addition to the Field Notes line.
Each pack contains two memo-sized Work Books, built to withstand demanding assignments. Their extra-heavy “Super Duty Chipboard” covers are screen-printed with thick, opaque ink—one in DDC Orange and the other in Blue Sky Blue.
The top-bound “flip” format features sturdy Double-O Wire binding, making the books easy to hold and write in one-handed, whether in the field, on the job, or wherever the work takes them.
Specifications:
- Each book contains 80 pages, Ruled on the front with a Double Graph Grid on the back, so you’ll have space for making lists and for sketching out plans too.
- Proudly printed by Schneider Graphics, Inc., Bensenville, Ill.
- Covers: Newark Paperboard Mills, 1.52mm “Super Duty Chipboard,” with a heavy 2-colour application of “DDC Orange” or “Blue-Sky Imagineering” and black inks.
- Innards: Finch Paper Opaque Smooth “Bright White,” ~104 gsm, with a fine, 1-colour application of “The Whole Sky is a Cloud” soy-based Toyo ink.
- Covers printed on an Advance Process Supply Cameo 34″ × 50″ flat bed screen press. Innards printed on a 20″ × 29″ Heidelberg Speedmaster 74 with perfector.
- Bound with bombproof Renz “Double-O” Ring Wire, with appreciation to U.S. Patent #2142816, filed in 1935 by W. Walter Grumbacher.
- Corners precisely rounded to a(9.5mm ( 3/8″) radius.
- Ruled lines: 6.4mm (1/4″). Double Graph grid: 3.2mm × 3.2mm (1/8″ × 1/8″).
- Work Book dimensions: 89mm × 140mm (3-1/2″ × 5-1/2″) (excluding binding).
- Futura typeface family (Paul Renner, 1927), in collaboration with Monotype.
