Description

Linoleum is a material made of hardened plastic mass applied to jute canvas, which is an excellent base for engraving. The appropriate density and texture make the work exceptionally comfortable, without the need to use as much force as in the case of wood carving, while guaranteeing optimal durability and preservation of the shape of the work made. It is used for lino printing – carving the linoleum surface with chisels and leaving out the parts that represent the desired image. The raised part of the matrix is then inked with a roller or a pad and printed using a printing press.
