For expressive, large-scale drawing, the putty can be formed into a ball or broad shape to cover larger surfaces and produce bold, gestural marks. For more precise applications, smaller shapes can be created to achieve finer details and greater control. This adaptability makes ArtGraf Nº1 particularly suited to experimental drawing, sketching and expressive mark-making.

Its water-soluble formulation further expands its creative potential. Used dry, the putty produces graphite marks with varying degrees of intensity, depending on the amount of material applied. When combined with water, it transforms into a fluid drawing medium capable of producing smooth washes, rich shadows and delicate tonal transitions.

From dramatic blacks to soft, transparent greys, ArtGraf Nº1 offers a versatile range of graphite effects, allowing artists to explore the relationship between drawing and painting in a single medium.
