A colourless spray fixative for use on charcoal, pastel, pencil and chalk drawings to protect them from smudging and collecting dust. The archival spray enables easier and even applications, giving a colourless and transparent finish. This workable spray allows you to spray some fixative on after working on your artwork and then to work some more layers on top of the others with no smudges.

A fixative is a fantastic tool for developing dense, rich blacks in charcoal. By applying a field of charcoal and masking an area before spraying Fixative, the fixed charcoal stays on the surface and can be developed into a dense, rich black. This process can be repeated several times, by adding charcoal, masking an area and then spraying Fixative. In the end, the area not sprayed with Fixative can be rubbed away, but the area of charcoal layered with Fixative is stable.

Note: please use this product outside or in a well-ventilated area. This product is extremely flammable and can cause eye irritation.
