Rit Dye ProLine Colour Remover strips existing colour from fabric before dyeing, reducing it to an off-white or cream base so your new colour comes out true. A non-chlorine, reductive bleach, it will not damage or deteriorate washable fabrics the way chlorine bleach does , and it also lifts dye stains from whites accidentally washed with colours, along with stains such as fruit juice, ketchup, tea and rust.

How to use

The stovetop method is the most effective, maintaining a constant simmer throughout the process. Some fabrics lose their colour in as little as 10 minutes; others take an hour or two to reach a cream colour. Lighter changes — brightening white fabric or removing stains from it — can be achieved in a washing machine.

Safety: Causes eye irritation. Harmful if swallowed. May cause skin irritation. Keep out of reach of children. Use with adequate ventilation and wear gloves.

About RIT ProLine Colour Remover

Colour Remover makes it possible to remove the existing colour from yet-to-be-dyed fabric, giving a dye-ready canvas for true colour and consistent results. Unlike traditional bleach, which contains chlorine that can damage fabric, Colour Remover is a reductive, non-chlorine formula that reduces colour to an off-white or cream without deteriorating washable fibres.

Its effect on polyester may be limited depending on how the fabric was dyed commercially. Please note: Colour Remover will not remove a printed pattern from fabric, nor the indigo dye from denim.
