On the outlines of your drawing, start shading the darkest areas using your pencil. After that, use the Pencil Brush to blend the harsh lines of the pencil drawing. As you blend, the bristles of the Pencil Brush absorb some of the graphite which will later be used to shade the rest of the sketch without having to use your pencil.
