Description
The Field Notes Steno is a larger, desk-friendly notebook designed for capturing notes, to-do lists, phone messages, and everyday ideas. Measuring 15 × 23 cm (6 × 9 inches), it features a sturdy black Double-O wire binding at the top, allowing the notebook to lie flat and making it easy to use both open and closed.

- Printing: Proudly printed by Schneider Graphics, Inc., Bensenville, Illinois.
- Cover: 1.52mm Newark Paperboard Mills “Super Duty Chipboard” with a bold, one-colour application of “Dictation Smudge” black ink.
- Interior pages: Finch Paper Opaque Smooth “Bright White”, ~104 gsm, with a fine, one-colour application of soy-based “Double Knee Duck Canvas” light-brown ink.
- Cover printing: Printed on an Advance Process Supply Cameo 34 × 50-inch flatbed screen press.
- Interior printing: Printed on a 20 × 29-inch Heidelberg Speedmaster 74 with perfector.
- Line spacing: Approximately 0.85 cm (⅜ inch).
- Binding: Bound with durable black Renz “Double-O” metal ring wire, inspired by U.S. Patent #2142816, filed in 1935 by W. Walter Grumbacher.
- Rounded corners: Bottom corners precisely rounded to a 0.95 cm (⅜-inch) radius using a Challenge two-head round-corner machine.
- Typography: Uses the Futura typeface family, designed by Paul Renner in 1927, in collaboration with Monotype.
