About Thick Stretched Canvas

Each canvas is 380gsm 100% cotton, triple primed with acrylic gesso to give a true archival quality surface that holds oil and acrylic paint without absorbing it. The medium grain provides tooth for the paint while remaining smooth enough for detail. The canvas is stretched over a highest-standard pine frame, offering excellent rigidity and support that resists warping over time.

The thick profile distinguishes these from Art Board’s standard stretched canvases: the deeper stretcher bar means the work can be displayed unframed, with colour carried around the sides for a contemporary gallery-wrapped finish.
