Cyanotype Kit – Clairefontaine

R1 425.00

Clairefontaine’s Cyanotype Kit allows you to discover and experience the exciting process of creating non-photographic cyanotype prints. Cyanotype refers to a technique invented in the 19th century that makes it possible to obtain blue monochrome photographic prints using coated paper and light. You will only need a little water, sun, a photosensitive chemical solution and some plants (not provided). The process results in a beautiful positive image cyan-blue print after exposing it to ultraviolet light.

With all the tools you need, you can jump straight into creating beautiful blue artworks! You will be accompanied step by step via the booklet provided, with clear and illustrated explanations, advice, tips and creative ideas.

This kit features:

  • A 16-page accompanying booklet in French, English, German, Spanish.
  • 2 vials: one containing ferric ammonium citrate, the other potassium ferricyanide.
  • A pair of gloves.
  • A 20 ml pipette.
  • A brush.
  • 10 sheets of 300 g satin FONTAINE watercolor paper.
