Uni Posca paint markers use vivid, opaque ink that can write on virtually any surface, including paper, photos, glass, wood, terracotta, porcelain, plastic, fabric and metal. The paint ink can be scraped off from nonporous surfaces like glass but adheres permanently to porous surfaces like paper. It shows up well on both light and dark surfaces, and once dry you can write over it with another Posca marker without smearing or showing through. The ink is water-based, non-toxic, lightfast, and waterproof. Posca PC-1M extra-fine bullet tip is ideal for work on small surfaces. A favourite of both children and adults to colour with accuracy. Posca’s ultra-fine tip is ideal for children to use to transform objects, to make drawings and colourings ; for professionals to colour documents, to make rough sketches or mark with accuracy ; for creative crafts hobbyists and of course for artists. This pen has an extra fine tip, which produces a line about 1 mm wide.

These markers are odourless, alcohol- and solvent-free, and they are widely used within the artistic community for sketching out large projects (such as murals) and even signing finished work.
Posca paint is opaque and fluid. It gives easy coverage and yet is bleed-resistant when used on paper. While the paint is wet, other Posca colours can be applied and blended on the surface, or water applied for a diluted watercolour-style wash effect. Once dry, the paint is waterproof, lightfast and non-bleed; it is possible to draw on top of previous layers to build up designs or correct errors. Light colours are just as opaque as the dark colours, and can be used to add overlaid highlights.
Directions: Before use, shake the marker vigorously with the cap securely attached in order to move the mixing ball within the barrel. This will ensure that the paint is homogeneous and that the pigments are fully suspended. On a test sheet, press down the tip several times to start the paint flowing.
