Sennelier Watercolour Binding Medium is a ready to use medium designed for preparing and adjusting traditional watercolour paints. Made in France using a classic formulation, it contains gum arabic, honey, water, and a preservative to closely match the behaviour of handmade watercolour binders. This makes it ideal for mixing with dry pigments or correcting the consistency of existing paints without compromising colour quality. When combined with dry pigments, the medium creates a smooth, water soluble paste with a honey like consistency that is easy to mull and rewet. It can also be added to watercolours that have become too thick, helping to restore fluidity while preserving transparency, brilliance, and luminosity. The inclusion of honey improves flexibility and rewetting, making colours more responsive on the palette and paper.

The medium can be thinned slightly with water to adjust flow. For best results, add no more than 5 to 10 percent water to maintain proper binding strength and performance.

Supplied in a 200 ml bottle, this binding medium is suitable for artists who prepare their own paints or wish to fine tune the handling of existing watercolours.
