They can be effortlessly applied with brushes, liners and airbrush devices.
The Range: In addition to the standard colours, the range includes three series with special characteristics: high coverage (Total Cover), high transparency (Candy Colours), and effect colours. This ensures not only brilliant mixing results but also an unlimited variety of colours and effects.
- Standard Colours for brilliant pure colour mixing and everyday artistic use.
- Total Cover Colours for strong opacity and coverage, even on dark surfaces.
- Candy Colours for highly transparent colour depth and luminous glazing effects.
- Effect Colours including AERO SHINE, AERO METALLIC, and AERO VISION for metallic shimmer and multi-colour visual effects.
Properties and Application:
AERO COLOR Professional colours have a pleasant odour, are easy to work with, durable, and dry waterproof on nearly all clean, grease-free surfaces (acrylic and watercolour papers, primed canvases, textured substrates, wood, cardboard, and more). All colours are ready to use and can be used undiluted due to their fine pigmentation. If needed, they can be diluted with water or AERO MEDIUM (50602).
The liquid acrylic inks for painting and writing are ideal for use with brushes, fountain pens, dip pens and Schmincke liners. They are also excellent for various mixed-media techniques, waterproof watercolouring and working in combination with other Schmincke acrylic colours and mediums.
Fun fact! Neutral Grey: artists appreciate the good erasing properties of this colour. All Aero colours can be erased in thin layers, however, this colour is particuarly useful for creating shading and light areas. Neutral Grey is also a popular colour when used for creating shadows and backgrounds.
“In the beginning, I used Aero Color Professional Inks just to pimp my watercolour paintings with vibrant pigments, but then the colour strength convinced me completely. Acrylic colours have some practical painting opportunities and so I’ve tried them out. I love the luminosity and intensity of these finest-fluid Aero Color acrylics.” – Tine Klein
