Schmincke AQUA Fix increases the water resistance of watercolour and gouache paintings. Applied to a completed watercolour art or mixed into the painting water, it reduces the rewettability of dried layers, making it easier to add further washes or glazes without lifting previous marks. Made in Germany.

Product Features:

  • Increases water resistance of watercolour and gouache.
  • Compatible with HORADAM Aquarell watercolour.
  • AQUA Fix can also be used for gouache painting, but please note that the colour tone may get deeper or there could be a slight more shiny surface. We always recommend to make pre-tests on a different surface first.
  • Store in a cool place. Protect from frost and wash the brush while it is still wet – do not let it dry!
  • Available in a 60ml bottle.

The Schmincke AQUA series watercolour mediums enable new creative techniques and effects with HORADAM watercolour paints. AQUA Fix  is a medium specifically developed to increase water resistance in watercolour painting. AQUA Fix is a medium for watercolours. It increases the water resistance of the colour, avoids dissolving of the colour when painted in several layers, and allows more possibilities for transparent painting. It is to be used for watercolour painting instead of water.

Clean brush and palette thoroughly with water and soap immediately after use. Store in a cool place. Protect from frost.
