In 1965, Paul C. Fisher developed the revolutionary pressurised refill that would go on to be used by NASA. Combining a precision tungsten-carbide ballpoint with Fisher’s proprietary thixotropic ink, the refill is hermetically sealed and pressurised to ensure smooth, reliable writing when conventional pens simply cannot perform.
Fisher Space Pen’s sealed, pressurised cartridge is engineered to write in extreme conditions — from -30°F to +250°F (-34°C to +121°C), underwater, in zero gravity and at virtually any angle, including upside down. From ski patrols and search-and-rescue teams to law enforcement and the armed forces, Fisher Space Pen refills are trusted by professionals who depend on their writing equipment to perform when it matters most.
Each refill can write up to 12,000 feet, depending on the refill style and writing surface — offering exceptional longevity compared with a conventional ballpoint refill.
Every pressurised Fisher Space Pen refill includes a plastic adapter, allowing it to fit most pens designed to accept Parker-style refills.
