About Heritage Fabric Paint

Heritage Fabric Paint is much more flexible and waterproof than normal acrylic paint, which makes it suitable for use on both light and dark fabrics. Water-based and easy to work with, it offers superior coverage on any clean, dry surface, and dries without yellowing — so colours stay true over time. The paint can be used indoors or outdoors, and the range covers standard colours alongside metallics and fluorescents.

Mediums

Alongside the colour range, Heritage supplies two mediums designed to work with Permanent Fabric Paint.

Slow Dry (57)

Slows the drying time of the paint and allows easy blending of colours. Water-based, and commonly used by artists to facilitate colour blending — using Slow Dry in place of water also minimises the colour change from wet to dry paint. Clean brushes with soapy water.

Fabric Seal (58)

Seals fabric paint or decoupage on any type of fabric, protecting your fabric art and waterproofing the finished piece. It creates a clear and flexible “plastic” coat. Paint over the entire piece of fabric with a sponge, roller or brush to penetrate the fabric, and paint the opposite side if necessary.
