About Annie Sloan Satin Paint

Annie Sloan Satin Paint has been designed for use indoors. It will give a robust yet beautiful soft-sheen finish on any internal wooden or metallic surface, with a sheen level of 10%. Washable and wipeable, quick-drying and water-based, it has been certified as Toy Safe under the EU Toy Safety Directive BS EN 71-3:2019 and carries an EU indoor Air rating of A+.

Satin Paint makes upcycling even easier. Annie Sloan especially recommends it on skirting, doors and kitchen cabinets, and it can also be used to give a sleek and modern look to furniture painting.

Satin Paint or Chalk Paint®?

Annie Sloan Satin Paint should only be used inside, on wooden or metal surfaces. For outdoor projects, flooring, and to paint decorative effects, Annie Sloan recommends Chalk Paint®.

Preparation

All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from any dust, debris or oil-based contaminants before using Annie Sloan Satin Paint. Annie Sloan advises using a water-based detergent such as sugar soap to thoroughly clean, and recommends simply sanding the area before painting.

Usage & Care

• To maximise shelf life, decant used tins that are less than half full into smaller, tightly sealed containers.
• For best results, use within 12 months of purchase.
• Store away from extremes of temperature and where temperatures fluctuate.
