PanPastel Colors are professional artists’ quality soft pastel colours packed in a unique pan format. Loaded with the highest quality artists pigments; PanPastel Colors are made using a unique manufacturing process requiring minimal binder and fillers, resulting in a rich, ultra-soft and low dust formulation. The professional quality colours are highly pigmented, have excellent lightfastness and are fully erasable. Uniquely, they can be mixed for a complete painting palette. PanPastel Colors are fully compatible with traditional pastel sticks, pastel surfaces, conventional fixatives and other artists’ colours.

- Easy to control and can be applied and mixed (dry) like paint on a palette or directly on paper.
- No preparation or drying time required – no solvents or water needed.
- Blend beautifully for an infinite palette of colours.
- Applying thinner layers and glazing layers allows colours underneath to show through.
- Many layers can be built up without flooding the tooth of the paper.
- Any eraser can be used to correct mistakes or remove the colour (create highlights and subtractive drawing techniques).
- Mixed Media friendly.
- Easy to clean – slean the pan gently by wiping away the contaminated surface with a paper towel.
- Low dust for a cleaner working environment & less waste.
- Using Sofft Tools it is easy to control the colour and to achieve a wide variety of marks and effects.
PLEASE NOTE: The Yellow Ochre (270.5) and Yellow Ochre Extra Dark (270.1) pans have had their names changed to Yellow Oxide (270.5) and Yellow Oxide Extra Dark (270.1); the colour, however, remains the same. ☺️

I’ve been hesitant to buy any of these because the price per pan is substantial. I bought one and tried it with soft brushes and a cheap eye-makeup pad on Canson Mi Teintes Pastel Matt. The colour is bold and intense. The Panpastel containers are also bigger than I thought they would be so these will last a long time. I can’t wait to buy more. I used it underneath my colour pencil work for a quick area of colour blocking. I LOVE these. I’m considering purchasing a set of 10 and some applicators.
