The 4 Dusk colours are even more beautiful than expected and are perfectly suited if a muted, grunge effect is desired. It has a unique consistency where a very fine black powder forms part of the paint and those particles settle in the fibres of the paper to give a very unique appearance.

The paints are really pigmented high quality. There’s such a wide variety of colours to choose from, especially compared to the other watercolours in the same price range. Super in love with the metallic colours, they keep their shine completely once they’ve dried.

The best student grade watercolours there are. Behaves just like my artist quality paints and at an amazing price. Highly pigmented and smooth. Great variety in pigment selection. Prefer the Van Gogh Viridian to the Rembrandt Viridian (greens in general).
Do not recommend the gold. Very little pay off if looking for opaque coverage. To mix with other colours to create a different effect it is perfect.
Highly recommend Van Gogh for beginner to professionals.
