Cotman Water Colours are a range of watercolours that are made to Winsor & Newton’s normal high-quality standards but costs are kept to an economical level by replacing some of the more costly pigments with less expensive alternatives. The range consists of 40 colours that possess good transparency, excellent tinting strength and good working properties.

Cotman Watercolours uses fine art pigments with reduced pigment load than the Professional Watercolour range, making them an accessible choice while still uncompromising on quality. Formulated to create uniform consistency, the transparent quality of Cotman Watercolour is perfect for new users. Rated AA and A for Excellent and Good lightfastness, Cotman Watercolour gives artists the reassurance expected from a quality watercolour range.

    A good option for adding additional colours to your palette especially when you’re just starting with watercolour. The colours need a bit of extra time once wet to activate, but then the paints are pigmented and are easy to work with on a lot of different papers
