Create raised, three-dimensional surfaces and textured effects with Schmincke Aqua Modelling Paste Fine. Specially developed for watercolour techniques, this fine modelling paste creates a white, relief-like painting ground that can be overpainted with watercolour once completely dry.

The paste can be applied to suitable grease-free surfaces such as heavyweight watercolour paper, cardboard, wood and canvas using a spatula. Once dry, it forms a water-resistant, water-insoluble film that provides a durable textured surface for further painting. The fine formulation is ideal for creating subtle relief effects, raised details and interesting surface structures.

For additional colour and creative flexibility, the modelling paste can be tinted directly with tube watercolour or acrylic colour before application. It is water-mixable while wet, making it easy to work with and spread.
