I got the red travel set for my birthday and wow! Best brush set i ever used. Hold lots of water and paint and still keeps a fine point.

I chose the Blue Set because it has a synthetic squirrel hair brush that is large, and ideal for washes. It is the thirstiest brush in the set. The Perla brush is pretty stiff, and can be used for texture and lines. It absorbs water well, but doesn’t release it on paper like the squirrel brush does, one can control the water. The smallest brush in the set is the Prado, a synthetic sable brush. It keeps its point like sable, and its water retention is similar to sable. The bag that comes with the set is beautiful, and it has enough room for an extra brush, so I can fit in an additional Versatil brush. The Versatil releases more water than sable, it is to me a mix between a squirrel and a sable. The box it comes with provides an elegant feel to the brushes. I tested all the brushes, and was delighted in the performance. I am happy that I can go ‘en plein air’ and use normal size brushes that I am used to using in the studio. One can easily paint on a half sheet with this set. I know of other brands who have miniature brushes, and these are best suited to paint A5 or postcards. This is a set that I would take with me without worrying that bristles would get damaged. I love my Blue set.
