A new way to paint. No brush. Just the finest quality professional acrylic paint in a fine-art, marker-style pen. Acrylic Marker gives you the ultimate control. Made with highly lightfast artist-quality pigments in a choice of two sizes, with replaceable nibs. Used for sketching, fine detail, textiles, collages and mixed media. Water-soluble when wet, yet permanent and water-resistant when dry. Once applied, all the water in the paint evaporates quickly to leave a flexible acrylic film of colour behind. This is permanent and doesn’t move – which means you can overpaint or varnish without bleeding to achieve multi-layered surface effects.
This professional acrylic paint is formulated to let the pigment express itself fully, so you have a choice of opaque, semi-opaque and transparent colours to help you achieve a range of effects. Check the opacity symbol on the barrel.
Colour Disclaimer. Actual colours may vary since every computer monitor has a different capability to display colours and everyone sees these colours differently. We cannot guarantee that the colour you see accurately portrays the true colour of the product.
As with all Liquitex products, the pigments in Acrylic Marker have passed extensive tests for lightfastness. Each pigment is rated according to the American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM), and only pigments rated ASTM I or II are used*( at least 50 years+ in gallery conditions – with no colour shifting or fading, to stay vibrant and true). *Fluorescent and metallic pigments are naturally less lightfast.
This ultra fine white ink (not waterproof) flows through a 3×0 pen tip, has excellent covering power, adheres to film and acetate, covers dye and marker colors, and confirms to ASTM Standard. Many calligraphers recommend the Pen White, and how opaque it writes. The trick is that you need to dilute this ink with water in another container. This can be tricky as to how concentrated it should be. Keep experimenting by adding a few drops of water, stirring the ink together, and dipping your pen before writing. Start slow with the water because you can always add more water.
Use with airbrush, Brush or Calligraphy dip pens.
Great covering power on black and dark papers.
Flows well through technical pens.
Great for correcting mistakes with small lines and dots.
Glass bottle (29.5ml) with dropper.
Bleed-Proof White:
A homogenized, opaque white watercolor formulated to stay white when applied over dyes or designers colors. Will not chip or peel. The Bleed Proof White is brighter and whiter than the Pen-White. When you first open the jar, it’s almost like a clumpy paste, which makes it impossible to use with your pointed nib. You need to add water to get Bleed-proof White to be thin enough to flow smoothly from your nib. Please use a separate palette or small jar. It’s easier to maintain the right consistency and dip your nib or brush when you’re using a smaller jar.
Use with airbrush, Brush or Calligraphy dip pens.
Great covering power on black and dark papers.
Great for correcting mistakes with small lines and dots.
