Azariah –
I bought a Rosewood, 6 slot rest from the George branch. I like the fact that it is made of expensive Rosewood and not just cheap pine. The slots are big enough to rest a large watercolour mop brush. It doesn’t only keep the workspace need, it actually protects the bristles too, as it is lifted from the desk. It is an excellent way for brushes to dry horizontally, to prevent ferule to stretch. I got brushes like Escoda, Raphael, and Princeton, and it is important to look well after them, especially my watercolour brushes. I give it a 4 because the rest wasn’t sanded after varnish was applied, which makes the piece a bit rough to the touch, although it doesn’t hinder the overall purpose of the rest. It is worth the money.
