Museum Aquarelle Single Watercolour Pencils – Caran d’Ache

R95.00

MUSEUM AQUARELLE is not only a water-soluble pencil; it is a watercolour in a pencil form. MUSEUM AQUARELLE colour pencils are developed and produced in our Geneva workshop, in close collaboration with master watercolour artists. Their extra-fine quality makes them perfect both for watercolour painting and for artistic drawing. 26 colours are mono-pigmented, that is, they have been made from a single type of pigment. This ensures, in particular, purity in blending. Museum has exceptional lightfastness, whether it has been used wet or dry. Each colour has been rated according to the Blue Wool Scale.

Description

For the first time, with Museum Aquarelle, the Maison Caran d’Ache offers professional artists the possibility of wielding a pencil with the strength and effects of genuine watercolour. This fantastic medium is perfect for works intended for exhibition, collection and museum purposes.

HIGHLY CONCENTRATED PIGMENTS AND COMPLETE SOLUBILITY

Pushing the boundaries of research, the Manufacturer’s craftsmen have developed a lead of superlative quality, incorporating highly concentrated pigments in a formula that ensures complete solubility, superb transparency and optimal lightfastness.

The softness of the lead in addition to its large, 3.8 mm diameter means that Museum Aquarelle pencils can be used in several ways – both dry and as watercolours. From precision drawing to wet drawing, blending, mixed, gradation or overlaying techniques: artists now can achieve the entire spectrum of watercolour effects. A palette of 76 colours springs to life through contact with water and with textured paper. Available in standard and themed assortments (Marine, Landscape, etc.) and also in separate colours.

To highlight the identity of the Museum Aquarelle range, the Caran d’Ache designers have clothed the body of the pencils in a matt black-varnished livery and a long capsule matching the colour of the lead.

SWISS MADE

Museum Aquarelle colour pencils are designed and manufactured in Caran d’Ache’s Geneva workshops in line with the Swiss Made quality label and with eco-friendly standards and certifications.
