Originally created in 1948, the Bullet Pen has become an iconic design of Fisher Space Pen Co. Its compact, functional form has also earned recognition as an example of industrial design, with the Bullet Pen design held in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

When closed, the Bullet Space Pen is remarkably compact and easy to carry in a wallet, pocket, purse, car glove box, organiser or toolbox. Open the pen and it transforms into a full-sized, evenly balanced writing instrument, combining everyday practicality with Fisher’s renowned space-age writing technology.

Produced in Nevada, USA, the pen is manufactured to exacting standards and features Fisher’s tungsten-carbide ballpoint and patented Thixotropic ink in a sealed, pressurised cartridge.

Like all Fisher Space Pens, its pressurised ink technology enables it to write in some of the most challenging conditions — including upside down and in zero gravity, as well as on wet surfaces and over oil and grease. The pen is designed to perform across temperatures ranging from approximately -30°F to +250°F (-34°C to +121°C), while its pressurised cartridge is designed to last significantly longer than a conventional ballpoint refill.
