In my opinion Mungyo is the best bang-for buck watercolour brand out there. They are cheap compared to most artist- quality brands and still retain a lot of saturation, vibrancy and good handling characteristics. I’ve had success with them both using glazing and wet-in-wet techniques. In my opinion they are comparable to, and slightly better than the Winsor and Newton Cotman series. I’ve seen Mungyo get knocked a bit for some of their colours being fugitive (eg Opera Pink) but so long as you avoid those pigments you will be golden.
