German-made, these pencils are world-famous for their quality, lightfast pigments and being water-soluble, offer the artist a wider range of use. Their opaque, water-soluble colours blend beautifully and erase easily. The diameter of the lead is large and semi-soft but can be sharpened to a fine point for details and lettering. These pencils are available in 60 beautiful colour shades. Use the white to outline areas or create highlights.

These STABILO CarbOthello chalk-pastel pencils form a stunning collection of 60 beautiful, rich and intense colours. Dramatic results can be achieved when used on dark backgrounds and delicate papers, too. Areas or outlines can be lightened or highlighted using the white Carbothello pencil. The pastel pencil can be used as charcoal, creating dry and dusty strokes, or blend the colours with a paper stump or fingertip to create a variety of effects. Partially water soluble, the pigments can also be worked with brush and water; the contours will remain visible. These premium chalk-pastels have high pigmentation with excellent light-fastness, they are non-toxic – and for superior results, the finished artwork can be treated with a fixative.
