The Winsor & Newton Professional Water Colour Range continues to be formulated and manufactured according to the founding principles established in 1835 when William Winsor and Henry Newton introduced the first moist watercolours to the world.

Watercolour, more than any other medium, reflects the unique characteristics of the pigments used and Winsor & Newton’s Professional Water Colours use only the finest pigments and are known for their brilliance, permanence and strength of colour.

Today, the Winsor & Newton Professional Water Colour range benefits from continued advancements in pigment technology and production methods, building on the company’s already high standards to produce even brighter, more transparent, and more stable colours. Equally important, many of the formulations remain the same — proving that they are already superb quality.
